massachusetts came up with new mash up word for today thanksgivakah. experts say based on the current calendar thanksgiving and first day of hanukkah won't fall on the same day again for thousands of years. >> local charity serve thousands of meals to less fortunate bay area residents today. volunteer chop vegetable and other items at glide memorial church in san francisco. glide founding pastor williams personally greeted people as they araved for today's feast. >> that's what we want to do is help people so they can become empowered not take away their power but give them power to overcome some of the circumstances and situations. >> i love this. i love people i'm a people person i love it. i love it a lot. >> serve meal and provided array of service to people in the tenderloin for decade. >> these family got up early this morning to help salvation army prepare turkey dinners for seniors and people in need. meals packed and heated up later. they were delivered to homes and residential hotel throughout san francisco. salvation army went through over 200 turkey to prepare all those meals.
